S1 Ep 10: Money and Success
Thursday Oct 06, 2022
Thursday Oct 06, 2022
In this episode of Being Unapologetically Authentic, I look at society's inclination to measure success through monetary gains. Money is so ingrained in our society as a measurement of success. It's no wonder that financial gains are the predominant measurement of one's ability to "do well" in life. What if, however, money was just a tool for expansion? What if it was never meant to be used the way it is today, and would it still have so much meaning in our lives if money was unlimited?
If you have ever measured your success by the amount of money you earn? If so, then I invite you to listen to this episode and see if money is still an authentic measurement of YOUR success.

S1 Ep 11: Lessons from a Working Mom on Parenting with Authenticity
Thursday Oct 06, 2022
Thursday Oct 06, 2022
In this episode of Being Unapologetically Authentic podcast, host, Jean Tien, shares her experiences on raising children authentically.
As a parent, navigating the world of authenticity can be tricky. We are the product of our parents, friends, culture, society, and everything around us. From the day we enter this world, survival depended on our ability to conform to the expectations placed on us. When we conform, we're obedient and rewarded. When we don't conform, however, we run the chance of being disregarded and disciplined.
As a conscious parent focused on raising authentic, conscious children, Jean shares:
- her frustrations with the education system;
- the questions she's had to ask of herself in order to define her authenticity as a parent;
- the conversations she and her husband have had in order to find the best way to support their children; and
- her experience in challenging the status quo.
Supporting children in a "different" way can be challenging but it is so rewarding when the risk pays big reward.

After her initial attempt at IVF failed, Monica began to search for other answers. She tuned in to herself, knowing herself that she was not "infertile", which is what her doctors had labeled her. This is when she found functional fertility and began her journey to finding how her body would support her pregnancies.

S1 Ep 15: Do all endings have to be sad?
Thursday Oct 06, 2022
Thursday Oct 06, 2022
Not all endings are created equal. In this episode of Being Unapologetically Authentic, I ponder about the possibilities of conclusions and success. Do all good things come to an end? If they do, does that mean that the effort wasn't successful?
If something is good, then why does it have to end?
Or is it only successful when you get to control the narrative of the situation? For example, is it a successful departure from your relationship and/or job when you're the decision maker instead of your partner or the job leaving you? I mean, seriously, no one likes to be told that they're no longer "wanted", right?
What if, however, you were never meant to stay in the same place forever? Even when you're being asked to leave, you're still successful? What if it was just the Universe's way of helping you continue your journey instead of allowing you to get stuck in the same place? As if the Universe is helping you see your strength in a way you never thought possible?
When we look at the bigger picture, can we really grow without experiencing the circle of life in all areas of lives?
If you've enjoyed this episode, please like, share, and rate so that we can start to spread the infinite possibilities with others around us.
